Grateful…
Right now, I am looking out my back porch windows at a rather gray day. We’ve had very little sunshine today but still, some of the birds are at the feeder happily flapping their wings, while others are perched in the Maple, singing their hearts out. The last of my fall perennials have all petered out for the year. Soon, here in the U.S., it will be Thanksgiving, and I will begin preparations for a grand turkey meal with all the fixings. I am in fair health as is my husband. Our two cats are playful as ever; even ornery.
But the thing for which I am most grateful this very second, is the thread that connects me to you, dear reader. You have been steadfast in your support of my musings and for that, I thank you. Thank you for reading, “listening,” and being a constant companion. Knowing I can come to this platform and express myself, and that you will continue to come back, time after time, is something that warms my heart. Every month, I welcome you in and even with my monkey mind and stream of consciousness writing, you return. I APPRECIATE YOU! I appreciate that you have a busy life with many things on your to-do list and many things on your mind. I don’t take for granted that you are here with me now.
As I think about this year nearing a close, one of the things I’d most like in the next year is to connect more deeply to the stories of my readers. What this will look like and how it will happen are yet to be determined. But as I’ve said all along, there’s a story in all of us. Thank you for listening to mine.
