Just Write…

People often tell me that they wouldn’t know what to write in a quilt journal.  My response is usually, write what’s going on in your life and that can be momentous, like who is the leader of your country at the time or as simple as the colors that strike you as your favorite in the quilt.  Write what you’ve planted in your garden or how you ran into an old friend in the grocery store who asked what you’re up to.  Your reply, of course, was…

In my book, The Story of Your Quilt, there are plenty of prompts to inspire your writing.  There are also motivational quotes that will perhaps lend a spark to your imagination and propel you forward in the journal.  It isn’t meant to be complicated.  You don’t have to be a Pulitzer Prize winning author to finish it.  You just have to put some feeling into it and the rest will come naturally.  But enough from me…maybe just check it out for yourself here.
